  • Do you actually buy the car?

    We do not actually buy the car from you. What we do is handle the entire transaction for you, from finding a buyer, to collecting money from the buyer, to arranging transportation of your sold car, and to making sure that you get top dollar for your car in as little as 5 business days.

  • Do you have a referral program?

    We do not currently have a referral program. However, we believe that you will be so satisfied with our service that you will want to tell all of your friends about us.

  • How do I get a quote?

    Glad you asked! Just click on the "SELL YOUR CAR" link at the top and provide some basic information about your car. You will instantly know how much we can get for your car.

  • Why do you need my VIN?

    We need your VIN in order to help you pick the right options for your car and so that we can get you as accurate a price as possible. After all, every car is unique!

  • Why did my offer price change when I entered my VIN?

    If you did not have your VIN handy and received a quote without a VIN, we used general assumptions about your car. When you provided your VIN, we were able to give you a quote specifically for your car.

  • How long does it take to sell my car?

    We can almost guarantee that we will sell your car in 5-7 days.

  • Are there any hidden fees?

    Nope! There are no hidden fees and our service is absolutely free for you to use. We keep our lights on by charging the buyer of your car a small fee.

  • What if I still owe money on the car?

    Unfortunately, at this point we cannot help you sell your car. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our service and this is at the top of our list.

  • Do I need to have my car's title (pink slip)?

    Yes. You absolutely must have your car's title on hand. Without your title, you cannot sell your car.

  • Do I have to get a smog check?

    When selling with us, you do not need to worry about getting your car smog checked.

  • How much do you charge?

    Nothing! Our service is absolutely free for the seller (that's you!).

  • Can I use my car while it is for sale?

    Absolutely! Please let us know, however, if you drive more than 1000 miles or if the condition of the vehicle changes (you get a new scratch or dent, the car breaks down, etc.).

  • Can you store my car while it is for sale?

    Unfortunately, we do not have a large enough facility to store customer's vehicles while they are for sale. Don't worry though! Your car will sell within 5-7 business days.

  • I saw the same car as mine advertised for sale for more money, what gives?

    First, pay attention to who is selling the car. If it's a dealer, they are asking more money because they can offer services that a private seller cannot, such as flexible payment options, loans, limited warranties, etc. If it's a private seller, keep in mind that the seller has already spent money getting the car ready for sale, including paying for a smog check, a detail, some repairs, and possibly advertising. Also, just because someone is asking a certain amount for the vehicle, does not mean that they will be able to sell the car for that amount (especially if they want to sell it quickly).

  • How does the mechanical inspection work?

    The mechanical inspection is free and in your best interest. Because we inspect your vehicle, we can offer you the best deal (anyone not doing an inspection has to assume that your car has major problems and thus offer an amount that reflects that assumption).

    You will tell us a convenient time and place where we can inspect your car. Our professional inspector will need about an hour to conduct the inspection, including a short test drive. Our inspector will also take some professional photos of your car (one less thing that you have to worry about). It is entirely up to you if you want to be with the inspector during the inspection (though you must be there at the start and end of the inspection).

  • Can you fix my car if it is needed?

    We cannot fix your car but can refer you to our partner service that specializes in repair work.

  • Is the inspection free?


  • Can the inspection be done at my home or work?

    The inspection can be done at any location that is convenient for you. We cannot inspect the vehicle at a public parking lot (think shopping center).

  • How do you schedule the inspection?

    Once you agree to the quoted price and provide some basic information, all you have to do is click on "Schedule" in the user's portal.

  • Why is there a difference between my pre-inspection and post-inspection offers?

    There may be a difference in your pre and post inspection offers due to the adjusted condition of the vehicle. For instance, if we discover that your vehicle needs a new engine, we will have to adjust the offer price to reflect that issue. We will let you see a condition report of your car after the inspection has been completed.

  • When and how do I get paid for my car?

    Once a buyer is found, we will hold the buyer's money for your vehicle in our escrow account. As soon as both you and the buyer have notified us that the vehicle has been picked up, we will deliver a cashier's check to you.

  • Who picks up my car?

    Usually, the buyer specifies what transportation company will pick up your vehicle. If the buyer chooses to use our transportation services, our partner transportation company will handle the transportation of your vehicle. In any case, you do not have the deliver the vehicle to the buyer and are released from all liability as soon as the vehicle is picked up.
